Ankle tattoos have become very popular because of their less noticeable location and still highly sexy area. Most ankle tattoos are located near the higher ankle as there is more room and ideal locations for viewing. Because the area is so small, tattoos here are smaller as well and do not draw as much attention as a tattoo on the arm would. The idea for tattoos here, is to get creative and match personality in such a small area. Normal tattoos like hearts and stars are okay here but more creative ones like fairies, bees, and other smaller, detailed objects are more suited for the ankle.
